What "done right" looks like.

Most St. Louis roofers will do a tear-off and a re-shingle. The differences show up in the line items they skip — and in the conversations they don't want to have with you about why those line items matter.

Here is what a complete Reliant roof replacement includes, and why each piece is on the scope:

The 6-Year Reliant Guarantee.

Six years of workmanship coverage on every roof we install, in writing, honored by the same family who signed your contract. That sits on top of whatever manufacturer warranty applies to the shingle line you chose (Owens Corning shingle warranties typically run 25 to 50 years depending on product).

If something we installed leaks, fails, or needs adjustment in those six years, we come back. No "wear and tear" loophole, no fine-print escape hatch.

What's typical

Two questions homeowners always ask.

How long does it take?

Most St. Louis roofs are done in a single day, start to finish. Larger or steeper roofs run two to three days. We check the weather window the morning of the job and won't open up a roof we can't dry-in by end of day.

Do I need to be home?

No. Most homeowners aren't home for the install. We coordinate access to power and water, stage materials and the dump trailer the day before, and run a magnetic sweep of the yard and driveway before we leave.

FAQ

Common questions about a roof replacement.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most St. Louis-area asphalt shingle roof replacements are completed in a single day. Larger or more complex roofs (3,000+ sq ft, multi-pitch, slate, tile) take two to three days. Weather windows are checked the morning of the job.

Do I need to be home during the install?

No. Most homeowners are not home during install day. We coordinate access to power and water, stage the dump trailer, and run a magnetic sweep of the yard and driveway before we leave.

What does Owens Corning Preferred Contractor mean?

Owens Corning vets and certifies a small percentage of contractors as Preferred Installers. Reliant is OC-Preferred, which means installs follow OC's published specifications and the shingle warranty stays intact. It also means we can offer extended OC system warranties on qualifying jobs. Full warranty mechanics and Duration-vs-Oakridge breakdown on the Owens Corning Preferred Contractor page.

What is the 6-Year Reliant Guarantee?

Six full years of workmanship coverage on every roof replacement, in writing, honored by the same family who signed the contract. This is separate from the manufacturer's shingle warranty (which can run 25–50 years depending on product).

Will my insurance cover a new roof?

If your roof has hail or wind damage and the carrier agrees the damage is covered under your policy, the insurance settlement may pay for the replacement minus your deductible. Reliant documents the repair scope your home actually needs so the carrier has clean line items to work from. We do not represent your claim — that decision and that conversation stay between you and your carrier.

What shingles do you install?

Owens Corning Duration and TruDefinition Duration architectural shingles are the default. We can install other lines on request — CertainTeed, GAF, Malarkey — but we install to OC's spec because that's what our certification covers.
